 These take place in June/July and September each year.

We are delighted to announce that the Faculty will be participating in the University's 2026 Open Days on:

Wednesday 1st July,

Thursday 2nd July, and

Friday 18th September. 

We shall welcome visitors and you will have the opportunity to meet some of our tutors and students.

Come and find us at the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, for the following events alongside the following events, and many others relating to other Humanities subjects.

The stall and Introduction will be relevant to prospective students of Theology and Religion; Philosophy and Theology or Religion and Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. 

The afternoon session may be interest to prospective students of Philosophy and Theology or Religion and Asian and Middle Eastern Studies.

Philosophy and Asian and Middle Eastern Studies will also have stalls at the Schwarzman Centre. The Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies will also be welcoming visitors to its home on Pusey Lane.

 This year the Faculty of Theology and Religion will run two UNIQ schools, each lasting four days and welcoming around thirty Y12 students. Throughout the year, the Faculty hosts a number of special lectures which are open to members of the public (as distinct from the lectures for University students which are published in our Faculty Lecture Schedule). Everyone, including prospective students, is very welcome to attend. You can find out about these lectures in the Events section of our website. They will also be announced in our Faculty News and social media accounts. If you live near to Oxford, you may like to attend a lecture. Some lectures are recorded and you can view past lectures on our YouTube channel (click here to find out more about our Online Resources).

Remember, if you do not live near Oxford, there may be similar opportunities for you at local universities and museums.

The best time to visit is on a University Open Day, when many colleges, departments and other University buildings will be open and able to welcome you with special events and information. However, if you cannot make it to an Open Day or for any other reason it is possible to make an independent visit. We have recently relocated to our new home at the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.  This brand-new building includes public space and areas restricted to members of the University. It is not possible to grant access to any of the restricted spaces, like the faculty offices and teaching rooms. However, we think that even the public space on the ground floor will supply a good and representative sense of the feel of the space, and what the teaching rooms and Humanities Library are like. (There are a lot of internal windows, so although you can’t enter, you can certainly see inside.) There are public facilities, including a café on the ground floor and you can find information to help you plan your visit on the building’s website. (Please note that there are no parking facilities on site.)
