Biography
I have recently completed a DPhil in Science and Religion supervised by Professor Alister McGrath entitled, ‘Refining and Defending Augustine of Hippo’s Constructivist Account of Memory and Prediction via Contemporary Cognitive Neuroscience.’ In the thesis, I critique scientific and theological accounts of memory and future-directed thinking in antiquity (Aristotle’s) and in the Middle Ages (Augustine’s and Thomas Aquinas’) via the lens of contemporary cognitive neuroscience and philosophy of mind.
Recently, as a representative on the Faculty’s Equality and Diversity committee, I helped organise the University’s inaugural Women in Theology colloquium, celebrating the invaluable and continued contributions of women to the study of theology and religion.
I am Tutor in Theology (Christian Ethics) and Postgraduate Programme Director at Ripon College Cuddesdon.
