Revd Dr Harriet Harris is Principal of Ripon College Cuddeson, an Associate College of the University of Oxford. She is a philosopher and theologian whose publications include Fundamentalism and Evangelicals (Oxford University Press, 1998, 2008); The Call for Women Bishops, ed. Harriet A. Harris and Jane Shaw (SPCK, 2004); Faith and Philosophical Analysis: The influence of analytical philosophy on philosophy of religion, ed. Harriet A. Harris and Christopher J. Insole (Ashgate, 2005), and God, Goodness and Philosophy, ed. Harriet A. Harris (Ashgate, 2011). She has served two terms on the Faith and Order Advisory Group of the Church of England and two terms as Convenor of the Doctrine Committee of the Scottish Episcopal Church. She was formerly lead University Chaplain to the University of Edinburgh, where she grew what became widely regarded as the ‘flagship’ Chaplaincy in the UK, and out of which she designed and ran the personal and leadership development programme, Abundant Academy. She was awarded an MBE in 2017 for Services to Multi-Faith Education and Community Cohesion, and elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 2022 for innovation in and commitment to fostering Compassionate Organisations.
