Elisabeth Wouters is a second-year MPhil student in Hebrew Bible Studies at Oriel College, Oxford, under the supervision of Professor Hindy Najman. Elisabeth graduated from KU Leuven, Belgium, with an Advanced Research Masters in Theology and Religious Studies with a major in Biblical Studies. In Leuven, she wrote her dissertation on the Song of Songs, for which she received a Louvain Studies Theology and Religious Studies Research Award Honourable Mention. In her current MPhil program, her research mainly focuses on philological, philosophical and ethical hermeneutics of the Hebrew Bible as well as text-criticism of apocryphal literature and the Septuagint. Her dissertation topic focuses on the Testament of the Twelve Patriarchs and is written under supervision of Professor Alison Salvesen.
