Dr Lauren Morry is Post-Award Visitor at the Faculty of Theology and Religion, University of Oxford and a Research Fellow at the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies. She holds the post of University Research Ethics Officer at Oxford Brookes University.
Lauren is interested in the intersection between religious identity and public life. Her DPhil (2023) examined the Church of England's approach to engagement with Islam, considering questions of church and state and religious diversity. Lauren is currently undertaking ethnographic research on conversion to Orthodox Christianity in the United Kingdom.
Lauren has taught Religion and Religions, Sociology of Religion, and Nature of Religion and supervised undergraduate theses.
