DPhil Student Zishang Yue Wins Prestigious Peacocke Prize in Science and Religion

We are delighted to announce that Zishang (Joseph) Yue, a DPhil student at the Faculty of Theology and Religion, has been awarded the 2024 Peacocke Prize in Science and Religion by the Science and Religion Forum. This international prize recognises excellence in academic writing at the intersection of science and religion and is awarded annually to the top entrant in a competitive essay competition.

Named in memory of the Revd Dr Arthur Peacocke—pioneering figure in the field and the very first Director of the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion—the prize celebrates exceptional scholarship in this interdisciplinary area. Joseph’s achievement highlights the strength of research within the Faculty and the Ian Ramsey Centre, where he is based.

This award places Joseph among an illustrious group of past winners and underscores the Faculty’s continued prominence in shaping the dialogue between science and religion.

Our warmest congratulations to Joseph on this outstanding accomplishment!
