Biography:
The Revd Canon Dr Sarah Brush brings a diverse portfolio of interests to her research; Medieval History, Youthwork, Ministerial Formation and Film. Her doctoral research was on Merovingian Episcopal Hagiography and she has also been published on Confirmation, the Medieval Chronicler Matthew Paris, Educational Chaplaincy, Discipleship and Faith Development. Sarah’s most recent publication is The Way Through the Trees: an Introduction to Faith Development (SCM 2025). She also co-wrote Moving Images, Changing Lives: Exploring the Christian Life and Confirmation through Film (Church House Publishing, 2011) and has recently contributed to Meanings of Discipleship as well as a book exploring online worship during lockdown called The Distanced Church. She is currently focussed on the formation of ordinands for ministry in the Church of England and encourages those she trains to have a deep engagement with both historic and modern culture to support them for ministry rooted in the richness of the Christian Tradition and aware of the present day world.
