Research Interests

I am interested primarily in epiphanies in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible literature, their relationship to the symbolic and ritual worlds of the temple cult, and their outworkings in the literatures of Hellenistic Judaism. In this I adopt a comparativist approach, looking largely at Greek poetry.

I have further research interests in (a) Christian Hebraism in the context of Italian Renaissance Humanism, and (b) the relationship between Theology and Constitutional Law.
