Grade 7: £31,604 - £38,833 with a discretionary range to £42,418 p.a.
The University is seeking a McDonald Departmental Lecturer in Christian Ethics to play an active role in the teaching of Christian Ethics. The appointee will become part of a vibrant research environment and work closely with the Christian and Religious Ethics group within the Faculty. The successful candidate will be a member of the Faculty of Theology and Religion, and may choose to be involved in the McDonald Centre for Theology, Ethics, and Public Life.
This is a fixed-term post available for 4 years from the 1 October 2018.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Christian ethics/moral theology. They will have the potential for producing distinguished research in the field of Christian ethics along with the ability to teach undergraduates in this field. The appointee will demonstrate a readiness to collaborate with colleagues within and outside the College and University and will possess excellent organisation skills. A record of successful publication will be of benefit, as will evidence of academic initiative and collaborative work.
