The Faculty of Theology and Religion seeks to appoint a part-time Humanities and Healthcare Fellow to commence in October 2019. The appointment will be fixed-term until 30th September 2021.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in the research and/or practice of humanities as it relates to medicine or health and a familiarity with recent literature on medical/health humanities, particularly as it relates to pedagogy. They will have an emerging record of published research in a relevant area and hold a PhD in any discipline related to humanities or the arts.
This is a part-time academic position focused on developing and evaluating a pilot Humanities curriculum for a set of fifth year modules at the University of Oxford’s Medical School. It is part of a project, funded by the Oxford-Wellcome Institutional Strategic Support Fund, entitled ‘Advancing Medical Professionalism: Integrating Humanities Teaching in the University of Oxford’s Medical School’.
