Oxford has the largest department for the study of Theology and Religion in the UK, and is a leading international centre for teaching and research.
While the Faculty maintains its historic strengths in the study of the Bible, the history of Christianity, Theology, and Philosophy, it is now also a major centre for the study of world religions, the relation between religion and science, and the place of religion in public life.
Dr Michael Lamb wins Teaching Excellence Award
The Faculty is delighted to announce that Dr Michael Lamb has received a Teaching Excellence Award from the Humanities Division.
Vacancy: Departmental Lecturer in Islam and the Study of Religion
The Faculty of Theology and Religion is seeking a Departmental Lecturer to play an active role in the teaching of existing undergraduate and graduate courses on Islam and Theories and Methods in the Study of Religion. The appointee will become part of a vibrant research environment and work closely with the Study of Religions group within the Faculty. The successful candidate will also be attached to Pembroke College.
