Join a Faculty of Researchers

The Faculty of Theology and Religion is a global centre for research in a wide range of fields. Over 250 graduate students – close to half of whom are from outside the UK – currently study within the Faculty, supervised by 40 academics from many parts of the world.

Few places can offer Oxford’s combination of historic resources, teaching expertise, and a lively research culture where new concepts, theories, and interpretations are discussed and debated everywhere from the seminar room to the college dining table.

• All students gain access to the Bodleian Library, with its 11 million volumes and outstanding special collections.

• the breadth of Faculty specialisms mean every graduate option is taught by experts.

• Oxford’s college system enables theologians to live, learn and converse with astrophysicists and archaeologists, lawyers and linguists.

Graduate study in Theology and Religion at Oxford offers the opportunity to join this research culture, to benefit from such expertise and resources, and to develop your own ideas and thinking.
